\nAnd I refuse to believe that
\nI can change the world.
\nI realise that this may be a shock, but
\n\u201cHappiness comes from within\u201d
\nIs a lie, and
\n\u201cMoney will make me happy.\u201d
\nSo, in 30 years I will tell my children
\nThey are not the most important thing in my life.
\nMy employer will know that
\nI have my priorities right because
\nWork
\nIs more important than
\nFamily.
\nOnce upon a time
\nFamilies stayed together;
\nBut this will not be true of my era.
\nThis is a quick-fix society.
\nExperts tell me
\n30 years from now I will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of my divorce.
\nI do not concede that
\nI will live in a country of my own making.
\nIn the future
\nEnvironmental destruction will be the norm.
\nNo longer can it be said
\nMy peers and I care about this earth.
\nIt will be evident that
\nMy generation is apathetic and lethargic.
\nIt is foolish to presume that
\nThere is hope.<\/p>\n
